Why Manito Oil & Propane?
Family-owned and local since 1956. No tank rental fees, flexible delivery plans, and a real person answering the phone -- not a call center. We know our customers across Mason, Tazewell, Fulton, and Logan counties -- including Manito, Forest City, Green Valley, and South Pekin -- and we're here when you need us. We serve Residential, Agricultural, Commercial & Wholesale, and Government & Tax-Exempt accounts, on standard net-30 terms with account-specific arrangements available.
OUR STORY: Founded in 1956 by Bill Faulkner. Sold in 1968 to brothers Jim and John Parkin, who ran it from the family home and their delivery truck, and expanded the propane facilities and built our office in the early 1970s. Loren Meeker joined the team in 2008; he and his wife Jessica became owners on September 1, 2022. In 2025 we acquired Buck Oil, growing further while staying family-owned and local.
To serve with integrity the people and community to which we have been called.
